Questions

Before you book

Do you calibrate in the laboratory or on site?

Handheld and benchtop instruments are calibrated in the lab. Installed or heavy equipment — floor scales, ovens, autoclaves, cold rooms, freezers — is calibrated at your site. The instrument list marks which is which.

How long does it take?

Your quotation states the return date for each item, counted from when we receive the instrument and your confirmation. Urgent and express turnaround are available at a surcharge.

Can you collect and return instruments?

Yes, within the Klang Valley. The charge is itemised on your quotation.

How often should an instrument be recalibrated?

Your quality system, regulator or the manufacturer sets the interval; twelve months is common. Give us your interval and we show the due date on the certificate.

Is calibration the same as verification under the Weights and Measures Act 1972?

No. Weighing instruments used for trade must be verified and stamped by the government-appointed agency. Our certificate records error and uncertainty; it does not replace legal verification.

My instrument is not listed. Can you still calibrate it?

Add it to the notes of your quote request. We will confirm whether we can calibrate it before you book.
